Blast Radius
Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 October 2026

Blast Radius (“we”, “us”) is an asteroid impact simulator for iPhone. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: we don’t run any servers, we don’t have accounts, and we never receive your personal data. The only third parties involved are Apple (maps, purchases) and Google (ads in the free version).

Information we collect

None. Blast Radius has no backend, no sign-in and no analytics of its own. We can’t see who uses the app or what you simulate.

Information stored on your device

The app saves a few things locally so they survive a restart: your units (km or miles), whether you’ve unlocked Pro, the running “world population left” counter, free-try and ad-unlock counts, and similar settings. They stay on your iPhone and are deleted when you delete the app.

Location

If you tap the “use my location” button, iOS asks for permission and the app reads your position once to drop the impact pin there. Your location is used only on your device and is never sent to us. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Maps and place search

Maps, place search and address lookups are provided by Apple (MapKit). When you search for a place, the search text is sent to Apple to find it. Apple’s handling of this data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To show and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

Tracking permission. iOS asks whether Blast Radius may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised and the IDFA is not shared. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Where required by law, a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform appears before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time from “Ad privacy choices” on the upgrade screen.

Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Blast Radius Pro removes all ads, and Pro users are never shown the tracking or consent prompts.

Purchases

Blast Radius Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details or Apple ID. Apple tells the app only whether Pro has been purchased, so it can unlock it and restore it on your other devices.

Children

Blast Radius is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because we don’t hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data processed by Apple or Google, use the controls and contacts in their privacy policies. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have additional rights; contact us and we’ll help where we can.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
